Wells Lifeboat RNLI Lifeboats Wells Norfolk UK

The Rescue Team

Our Station Honorary Photographer Campbell MacCallum first created the rescue poster in 1979 purely for Wells station to hang in the crew room. RNLI Headquarters saw the photograph and requested that they might turn it into a poster entitled "Portrait of a Lifeboat Station". In 1986, Hastings Lifeboat was selected. Wells was chosen in 1993 and again in 2000 for the "Millennium Rescue Team" poster.

The poster is distributed to all RNLI Station, Branches, Guilds, and all maritime organisations world wide, to the Armed Forces, and Educational authorities. The strangest sighting we have heard of so far of a Rescue Team Poster is a 24hr Tailor in downtown Hong Kong!
