Appealing ale goes on sale

The 'Shout' ale... fund-raising for the new Shannon Lifeboat

Hand-picked after diligent research by volunteers from Wells Lifeboat crew, the Shannon appeal's own ale is now on-sale at the Real Ale Shop at Branthill Farm just outside Wells. Called The 'Shout', this strong and flavoursome beer is brewed by the Wagtail brewery in Old Buckenham and was the crew's choice in a competition of locally brewed beers organised by the shop. A bottle costs £3.30 with £1 being donated to the appeal for every bottle sold.

(And if that's not quite to your taste, don't forget that our own limited edition cider is in preparation too... bottles can be pre-ordered, with a gift card, at the Whin Hill Cider works in Wells.)
