Raising the level of the beach

Inital works have started to clear the site and raise the level of the beach where the new boathouse will be, using dredged material from Wells harbour. The floor of the new building will be roughly level with the current path along the beach bank to the beach. 

The construction area both to the east of the beach bank and the beach to the north of the sea defences where the new ramp will be are now a construction site and public access is not permitted. Access to the current lifeboat station will be maintained for RNLI staff and crew members.
